Brief description of who you are- Collar Candy is a brand created for the individual trying to stand out and create their own style with the use of bow accessories. A lover of bow ties, and even regular ties, will love these creations and notice how just one simple accessory can hipster out an outfit. These bows can be used to complete a chik look, a business look, a business casual look, or even that of hipster-chik liking. It takes a fashionisto or fashionista to venture out and experience new ideas. Well here at Collar Candy we dare you to try.

How would you describe your personal style of fashion? As stated above, Collar Candy bows can be used to help the consumer complete the perfect chik look, business look, business casual look or the more common hipster chik/ urban gent look.

Brief description of what you do – Here at Collar Candy we serve as the middle man between consumer and fashion. We aim to please the consumer and give them the exact piece they may need to complete any outfit for any setting. We made it our business to create a item that could help anyone stand out, the bowtie chain. This simple piece does wonders and the pattern of choice just enhances that. We do not discriminate, and rather urge that anyone can be a fashionista or fashionisto with our small contribution.

How long have you been in this Field? Collar Candy has been in production for a little over a year now, and we do not plan on slowing down.

Where can we find your items? Currently our website it under construction, but items can be viewed on our instagram (@CollarCandy) our facebook (facebook.com/collarcandy) our tumblr (collarcandy.tumblr.com) twitter (@collarcandybows) or our personal instagrams (@CollarCandy_Troy & @CollarCandy_Shellz).

What are some of your fashion inspirations? I would consider the everyday person a fashion inspiration. There are so many people in the world different personalities an by being a fashion accessory company we aim to compliment anyone and everyone wit something they can call their own whether they desire to dress up or down.

What are some of the challenges you face in the fashion industry? There are many other bow tie companies that are all equally creative as us. Our main goal is to stand out the best we can so that when someone sees one of our products they will automatically be able to point it out as Collar Candy.

What words would you share with someone looking to begin a path into this type of work (Fashion)? Stick to your goals and dreams. If it’s something that you love to do you have to keep pushing because although the road may seem long at first, with patience an faith it will carry you and your brand/company farther than you could have ever imagined.

What’s the price range of your items? Minimum/maximum? Pins begin at $8 for one fabric color/choice, chains and neck bowties begin at $12 for one fabric color/choice and the go up depending on the customer’s choice of customization. i.e. spikes, chains, mixing and matching patterns or fabric etc.

Where do you see yourself in three years down the line? We would like to see Collar Candy in stores all over NYC and hopefully all over the US! Next stop after that is only international. J

Are you interested in sponsoring any pieces from your line for fashion shows, hair shows etc? Yes, we would love to do this as long as it is clearly stated and broadcasted that the pieces are from our brand, and people are forwarded to our social media locations.
